Planted these pretties last year. So great when plants actually reappear in the new season.

A carpet of (oddly enough) wallflower. Does anybody know why they are called wallflower?

Hellebore flowering in the midst winter. A very much needed pop of colour on these grey and dull days. How’s your garden doing?

Pea shrub! There are at least 3 little Siberian pea shrubs that grew from the seeds planted a few weeks ago. I always assumed they’d be the first to appear and it is a very good indicator that the other perennials will turn up at some point.

These guys can grow well above head height if you let them, and are a really popular permaculture plant as they have nitrogen fixing potential. Every year they pump out pea pods for harvesting, and make for a great chicken forage plant as well.
